Over the last 20 years I've spent a lot of time in many industries, but always with a similar focus where asset management is central to their strategy. I've worked primarily with boards and executive teams and senior leaders in asset management, in industries like mining, railways, ports, utilities, power, water and defence.
I’m passionate about the importance of asset management across industries and in many different types of organisations. I'm also really passionate about empowering leaders in asset management to reach their leadership potential and to empower their own teams. When you have leading people working within your organisation who are passionate about what they do, it helps you to become a leading organisation in your industry, in your sector, and in the wider world.
My book Leadership Assets, and this training program, aim to empower you as a leader in asset management to realise your own leadership potential. I'm really excited about the outcomes that we'll see from this. My earlier book, Asset Management for Directors, was written to help leaders, including board directors and senior executives, learn about the importance of asset management in their companies and their own role in asset management - you could call that asset management for leaders. Now Leadership Assets is all about leadership for asset managers.
